HOW TO CURE AN ALGARROBO MATE
Curing prepares the mate for use by reducing porosity so the material does not affect the flavor.
Rinse with warm water.
Fill with moist used yerba and add warm water.
Leave overnight, then remove and rinse.
Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil or butter to help seal pores and extend its life.
